Easy Chocolate Valentine’s Day Bark Recipe

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Let’s celebrate with this fun and Easy Chocolate Valentine’s Day Bark Recipe. When you have a party to go to or want to celebrate Valentine’s Day with an easy recipe, this is the recipe for you!

I have made a lot of bark over the years. However, my grandkids asked me if we could add different ingredients to the bark.

I thought “that is such a great idea.” We can add sprinkles, white chocolate candy balls, and whatever else we can find! 

How to Make Easy Chocolate Valentine’s Day Bark Recipe

You may be afraid this chocolate bark is hard. It’s not! It’s as easy as melting chocolate chips in the microwave. From there, you’ll follow the steps to making fun Valentine’s Day Bark. You can pass the final product out to neighbors and friends. 

I think this bark is fun because it’s so different! Plus, it’s something you can do with the kids or grandkids. It’s not expensive and it’s a hands-on recipe that everyone will enjoy doing.

Kitchen Tools Needed

Easy Chocolate Bark Recipe

Step One

Start by placing your chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.

Step Two

Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring constantly until melted. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and pour melted chocolate out onto the paper.

Step Three

Smooth out evenly. Sprinkle evenly with your sprinkles.

Step Four

Add chocolate candy balls. Add chopped Hershey Kisses. You are basically layering different colors of sprinkles and chopped kisses to make it festive.

Step Five

Here you can see all the different sprinkles and balls before you freeze it. Freeze for one hour, and break into pieces.

Ingredients

  • 1-12 ounce Milk Chocolate Chips
  • Red Sprinkles
  • Pink Sprinkles
  • Pink Chocolate Candy Balls
  • White Chocolate Candy Balls
  • Hershey's Kisses (chopped fine, I used Peppermint Ones)

Instructions

  • Start by placing your chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. 
    Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring constantly until melted. 
    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and pour melted chocolate out on to the paper. Smooth out evenly. Sprinkle evenly with your sprinkles. Add chocolate candy balls. Add chopped Hershey Kisses. You are basically layering different colors of sprinkles and chopped kisses to make it festive. Freeze for one hour, and break into pieces. 

Notes

While the choclate bark is still cold, break it into whimsical shapes or use a knife to cut it.

How Do You Break Up Chocolate Bark?

What if you can’t break up chocolate bark? Chocolate bark is easier to break up than you thought. Hold the chocolate with foil, so you don’t get your messy fingerprints on it.

From there, you can break it apart with your hands! Use a wooden spoon if the bark is being stubborn.
