his new Actros doesn’t just look special, it can now even be rented from Mercedes-Benz CharterWay. Since July 2019, customers can expand their fleets with this striking example of a tractor unit. A total of 40 new Actros trucks stand out from the otherwise white vehicle pool of CharterWay, but not just because they’re painted in carbon black. The most noticeable difference has to be the camera arms of MirrorCam which have replaced the regular exterior mirrors on the outside of the cab.
Although not visible from outside, the fuel-saving Predictive Powertrain Control cruise control system is fitted in all vehicles, as too is the intuitively operated digital Multimedia Cockpit. And even in terms of safety, assistance systems are in the limelight at CharterWay, including the Active Brake Assist 5 emergency braking system and Sideguard Assist. Plus, the cabs come in a choice of three variants: StreamSpace, BigSpace and GigaSpace. With such top-level equipment, Mercedes-Benz CharterWay is bringing the latest state of the art into its trucks.
Around half of the vehicles are already reserved. They will be the subject of long-term rental contracts to enhance the fleets of a number of customers for up to three years. But the good news is that the other half are still available from our sales points in and around Germany.
